Ayurvedic Cleansing Rituals

Join us at the Alchemist Kitchen Elixir Bar in SoHo on Wednesday April 8th at 6:30pm, with Anima Mundi herbalist Marisa Clementi for this hands-on workshop exploring the ancient medicine system from India. Explore Kapha season & make a body scrub!

The Ayurvedic approach to health and wellbeing is based on nature’s rhythms and laws, and the understanding that humans - as a part of nature - are governed by those same principles. Just as each flower is unique, each person has unique needs for maintaining health.

In this class we'll learn about the meaning of Kapha season and explore daily rituals and foods that can support energy and balance during this transitional time. You will also make your own invigorating and cleansing Ayurvedic herbal face and body scrub to take home!

In this workshop, you'll learn:

- how to discover your unique constitution, aka Dosha
- gain a preliminary understanding of how to recognize imbalances within yourself
- how to use food and lifestyle practices to support your well-being during Springtime

Space is very limited, so please purchase tickets in advance. Refunds accepted up to 24 hours prior to event. Day-of refunds or no call no shows will not be processed

Marisa Clementi is an Ayurvedic Nutrition Counselor and Herbalist who lives for creative practice: gardening, foraging, dancing, singing, cooking, feasting, and mothering. She's particularly interested in mixing the medicine practices of her Latvian and Italian heritage with the brilliance of Ayurveda. Marisa brings her artistry as a professional dancer to her work through her deep knowledge of functional anatomy and somatic inquiry, as well as her inherited ancestral understanding of food and friendship as medicine. She wholly believes in the pleasure and freedom that come from cultivating a relationship with one's being: where practicality meets imagination as a path to abundant health.
