Re-Mothering the Self
Join us at the Brooklyn Apothecary on Friday May 15th at 7pm for a workshop exploring the various ways in which we can connect to the feminine nurturing essence.
This is a safe, comfortable space for those who have experienced a longing for mothering. There are times when we cannot expect our parents to fully show up for us and here we make our peace by showing up for ourselves. By connecting to our divine feminine and the Earth Mother, we can rekindle a new sense of understanding of self, releasing old patterns, and a deeper sense of safety within one's body temple.
Together, we will open our hearts through shared experience, journaling, dance/movement, chanting, music, visualization and plant medicine. When we can re-mother ourselves, we attain a wisdom which lies within all who long for unconditional love.
Included:
Floral herbal tea on arrival
15% off Anima Mundi products in store
* Bring a journal or note book and wear something you can move in.
Please note space is limited and tickets must be purchased in advance. Refunds accepted up to 24 hours prior to event unless cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
Maggie Rivera is an astrologer, herbalist and artist. Her eclectic nature has been deeply inspired by her Puerto Rican ancestry and upbringing in the South Bronx. Later, she found herself exploring a multitude of cultures, religions and spirituality from all over the world. Integrative practices are a huge inspiration for her approach in healing and self discovery modalities. As such, her journey with medicinal plants has also led her to exploring the medicine in the poisonous plants as well. Her aim is to encourage a balanced approach to self realization through shadow work and personal growth. Maggie has been self-studying astrology for 10 years; focusing her studies in general readings, astroherbalism, asteroid astrology and astrocartography. Her herbalism studies have been ongoing for 8 years through traditional folk self-teaching to classes by The American Herbalist’s Guild, The Herbal Academy and other herbalists online. Currently, she is expanding into the realm of dietary supplements by actively attaining two supplement specialist certifications through Standard Process and Designs For Health. She is also a certified Reiki II practitioner and Tarot reader. Learn more about Maggie and her offerings through these platforms:
